Josef MALIK: Czech. MALIK, formerly Director of the National Bank in Prague, spent much of the Second World War in London, where he found himself in opposition to the Czech Government under the leadership of President Benes. He was charged under the Official Secrets Act with publishing material which might be of use to the enemy, ie the names of Czech military officers in London with intelligence responsibilities. He pleaded guilty and was fined
