Sir Barry DOMVILLE: British. DOMVILLE, a retired Admiral, was sympathetic to German National Socialism in the 1930's. He met Nazi party leaders, including Hitler, and attended Party Congresses in Nuremberg. In 1937 he founded 'The Link', a pamphlet used by the German party for propaganda and subsidised by them. In 1940 he was influential in the organisation 'British Council for Christian settlement in Europe' which was urging an immediate peace with Germany. He was interned under Defence Regulation 18b in July 1940. His wife, who identified herself with his actions and aims, was interned with him
