Luis CALVO ANDALUZ: Spanish. Between 1932 and 1936 CALVO was Press Attache at the Spanish Embassy in London. He returned to London in 1938 as correspondent of the Spanish newspaper 'ABC'. In 1940 the MI5 double agent, GW [see KV 2/468], got in touch with CALVO, who offered, in the absence of a previous contact, to pass GW's reports to German Intelligence. Early in 1942 CALVO was arrested and interrogated at Camp 020 where he confessed to having acted as an agent in Britain for German Intelligence. He was interned until 1945 when he was deported to Spain
