16 items extracted from CO 28/145 being abstracts of cases heard and decided by local magistrates forwarded to support quarterly reports of cases heard and determined by the Assistant Court of Appeal. The 'abstracts' are entered on printed forms giving:
- names of parishes;
- names of justices;
- number of individual cases [male or female];
- number of individuals punished [male or female];
- general character of offences;
- general character of punishments awarded;
- number of appellants from the foregoing decisions who have appeared before the Assistant Court [male or female];
- number of appellants in cases wherein the original decision of local justices has been confirmed or reversed [male or female];
- remarks [giving brief details of each appeal].
