Paul Joseph Julian LAROCHE: Belgian. Having worked in a civilian capacity until 1943 in Belgium, he volunteered to work for the Germans and was recruited by the SD as a post-occupation agent. When Brussels was occupied by the Allies, LAROCHE, instructed by the SD, enlisted in the Belgian Brigade Blanche but was not thought to have acted as an Abwehr agent either then or later when he worked as an interpreter for the Canadians. He was later sent on a mission through the German lines and was not heard of again till he possibly turned up in Denmark, from where an unconfirmed report described him as a Soviet agent.
