Description

This series comprises volumes of correspondence respecting foreign epidemics. Most of this correspondence consists of reports returned to Britain by consular staff giving details of disease outbreaks wherever they may have occurred. Mortality statistics and tables showing the extent of the disease affecting the population are sometimes inserted. Other relevant correspondence is included such as that concerning arrangements for ship quarantine, and verification of details of reports. There are also newspaper cuttings, including some from foreign journals.
