Gottfried Reinhold TREVIRANUS (middle name recorded as Reingold on front cover): German. A former minister in the German Government under Chancellor Bruning [1930-1932] who came to the U.K. as a political refugee in the 1930s. Befriended by Lord Vansittart, he was used as a consultant on German political affairs in the early war years. He moved to Canada in 1940.
