Selected Historical papers relating to PUPPET: Austrian. Sent by Brussels Abwehr to assist HAMLET [see KV/2/327], their agent in Lisbon, PUPPET was sent to England notionally as a commercial representative for HAMLET, but in fact as an intelligence provider. Recruited by the Security Service, he acted as a Double Cross agent providing misleading information on, among other things, the invasion plans known as FORTITUDE and OVERLORD.
