Friedrich Wilhelm BAUMEISTER, alias RUDOLPH: he served with the Abwehr 1924-1945. From June, 1944 he was in overall charge of the Abwehr in France. In July, 1944 he was arrested on suspicion of implication in the plot on Hitler's life. He was released for lack of evidence but later sentenced to 3 years imprisonment after being denounced by a colleague.
