Research into the economic impact of immigration for the period which highlights the extreme difficulty in establishing any authoritative overall picture of the position. Article from the Times demonstrating that immigrants actually relied less on the social services than the average citizen - the figures were used in reply to letters to MPs from people opposed to further immigration, an example of which is enclosed.
