'An Exact Plan of the River St Johns in East Florida - with part of the Sea Coast': from the Florida-Georgia boundary, via St Augustine and New Smyrna, to the South Hillsborough and Indian Rivers. Shows waterways, towns, names of grantees with extent of holdings. Scale: 1 inch to 4 miles. Compass indicator. Oriented to the west. Title in decorated cartouche. The map is undated but is likely to have been made in or about 1786. Originally filed with miscellaneous papers of the East Florida Claims Commission appointed under the East Florida Losses Act 1786 (26 Geo III c 75); many of these papers are water-damaged and difficult to read.
