Karl Heinz KRAEMER, alias Horst RUEDIGER, and Nina Anna SIEMSEN, his secretary: an Abwehr officer based in Stockholm 1942 - 1945, Kraemer's intelligence reports to Berlin came from a variety of sources, some in Swedish government circles, others from contacts in Japanese and Hungarian Intelligence. A large part of his output was recycled information or simply fabricated. British concern, on seeing his messages, was least sensitive information concerning the Allied war effort should reach him via Swedish diplomatic or military channels. His one real coup was to predict the attack on Arnhem, though his message to Berlin arrived too late to be of use.
