Description (What the record is about)
-
Architectural plans and drawings of buildings used or formerly used by the Metropolitan Police. They relate mainly to police stations and married quarters.
While the buildings are still in police use the plans and drawings are retained by the Department under Section 3(4) of the Public Records Act 1958, and are closed to the public for security reasons; but they are transferred to the Public Record Office when the buildings have ceased to be used by police, as the result of either demolition or passing out of police ownership.
