Excise Restrictions: forwards copy of memorandum from the Supervisor of Revenue Offices on the subject of excise restrictions in Jamaica [not in item]. Forwards statement by the Jamaica Sugar Planters Association which comments on the increased cost these excise restrictions would incur. Forwards copy of correspondence between Mr Craig, Chairman of the Jamaica Sugar Planters Association, and the Jamaican government. Not mentioned in the despatch, but also included are a statement of export figures for rum, copy of accounts concerning returns on rum, letter from the Supervisor of Revenue to the Collector General and a memorandum from the Collector General.
