Description

Deptford Officers to George Smith, Secretary to the Navy. You directed that William Hills, a Leading man of Storehouse Labourers should be discharged and revert to his former pension as a superannuated Quarterman. There is a slight difference in the two pensions and recommend he is allowed at least the same amount as he formerly enjoyed. He has since served three and a half years as a Leading man in the Storehouse, and has injured his eye sight in the performance of his duty. If he merely reverts to his former pension, ask that the Admiralty fee is remitted.
