Description

George and John Rennie to the Navy Board. Have examined the tenders of Messrs McIntosh, Johnson and Fox and Williams for the completion of the main and western arm of the breakwater with rubble only, leaving out masonry and setting of all kinds, the contractors taking all risks upon themselves. It appears Messrs Johnson's tender is the only one made in strict conformity with our letter and form of tender and including the risk, is the lowest. Recommend their tender is accepted.
