John Wilson Croker. You said you could not grant a pension to Sibella Clarke, as her husband, the Master of the Tortoise Lighter, did not appear to have been on duty when his fatal accident occurred. Please lay before the Lord High Admiral copies of letters from Captains Patton and Sparshott, late of the Trinculo and Nimrod, reporting the particulars of the case. Opine this man should be considered as in the execution of his duty it appears he was only away from his vessel to report to the Senior Captain.
