Description

Copy letter from T I Maling, Mulgrave, Plymouth to James Walker, expressing unqualified support of his patent powder barrels. A comparative test was carried out over 2 years between wooden waterproof and copper barrels. The barrels ordered for the Mediterranean fleet never reached them, but Lord Exmouth, who highly approved of them, was furnished from the Mulgrave for the Caledonia's boats.
