Description

John Wilson Croker. It may not now be necessary to keep up the establishments at Gibraltar and Malta to the present extent. Are sending for information and direction a statement of the Inferior Officers and Workmen at each yard, showing numbers now borne and the proposed peace establishment. If you approve, the Ropemaking establishment at Malta will be broken up and we would intend the apprentices at Gibraltar not included in the peace establishment should, if English boys, or as many as are, return with their instructors to this country. Foreign boys must be continued at Gibraltar until expiration of their indentures.
