Description (What the record is about)
-
William Wesley Pole. In January 1794 we reported the difficulty experienced due to insufficient space for the Clerks to work. In 1804 we drew attention to how much the service suffered due to inadequate space for examining Navy slops and Marine clothing. The situation has been further exacerbated by taking on the management of the Marines' necessaries. With the Inspector General of Naval Works becoming a member of this Board, together with attendant staff, it is essential that more room is provided if they are to be accommodated at this office. Give details of various actions considered, but which had not come to fruition. Suggest a course of action.
