Description

William Wesley Pole. Sir Stephen Cottrell wrote about the unforeseen price to which hemp had risen and what increase it may now be proper to guarantee to its cultivation in Canada. We are not aware that there has been any increase in the cost of cultivation of hemp in Canada since the price was fixed at £45 a ton, for that delivered at Quebec, Montreal and Niagara. Do not recommend any increase in the price guaranteed.
