Description

Philip Stephens. Are sending the greatest number of Clerks employed by the Clerk of the Acts and Comptroller of the Treasurer's Account in the course of the last war and at present. In 1782 there were 17 clerks of the Acts Office, 19 in 1794. In the Comptroller of the Treasure's Account 5 clerks in 1782 and 5 in 1794. In the Ticket Office 25 clerks in 1782 and 21 in 1794.
