Page 240: Persian Gulf Weekly Report from Commander CR Wason HMS Odin 1st September 1914. Mascat: French Q.F. [Quick firing] guns and ammunition arrived at Mascat per SS Ekbatana 14th July 1914. On August 13th and 14th ammunition including Dum Dum ammunition was taken out to sea by HMS Mashona and thrown overboard. Makran: report of arms and ammunition being landed at Ziarat, Nazai and Gukhaisar. Report of movements of carvans from Afghanistan. Basrah: report of import of rifles and ammunition from Kuwait. Isfahan: report of arms dealing in Isfahan bazaar.
