- Folios 186-187. Letter from Charles Bond, Clerk to the Guardians of the Axminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, replying to their request as to whether the relief granted to able bodied paupers had conformed to the Outdoor Labour Test Order. This was not done, as it was given due to the high price of common articles of food. Annotated: refer to Commissioners letter of 9 July and state that they will not sanction further relief except under the Outdoor Labour Test Order or where one or more of the children of large families can be taken into the workhouse.
