Folios 145-147. Letter from William Powell, Clerk to the Guardians of the Newport Pagnell Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board enclosing copies of vestry resolutions to save money for emigration purposes for Sherington parish. Attached is emigration form A, 'Notice of meeting to consent to raising or borrowing money for emigration purposes', for the parish of Sherington signed by John Charles Williams, Minister; Richard Tandy and Frederick John Field, Churchwardens and Robert Rose and John Underwood, Overseers. 12 May 1848. Emigration form B 'Resolution entered in Vestry Book', witnessed by [Thomas Boiten Junior]. Emigration form C 'Certificate of Minister, Churchwardens and Overseers of the Forms of the Act having been complied with'. Annotated: send for the list. [William Golden Lumley, Assistant Secretary to the Poor Law Board]. 24 May 1848. Paper Number: 15265/1848.
