- Folios 142-144. Return from Hanslope parish in the Newport Pagnell Union to the Poor Law Board in response to a letter from the Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to Poor Law Board to churchwardens and overseers Hanslope Parish, Newport Pagnell Poor Law Union, listing those persons assisted by the guardians to emigrate during 1847. The following people emigrated to Canada [Montreal], leaving on 4 July 1847. Matthew Lane, aged 32. William Lane, aged 9. Henry Lane, aged 4. James Lane, aged 1. Charlotte Lane, wife, aged 30. Mary Ann Lane, aged 7. A blank copy of the form is also attached. Annotated: entered in the emigration book, 19 May 1847. Paper Number: 11425/1848. Paper Number: 14455/1848.
