Folio 12: Alfred Ledsham, aged 28, Lance Corporal, Royal Marine Light Infantry; disease or hurt, drowned. Died, 27 January 1876, at Calcutta. Fell from the gangway into the sea on a very dark night. His body was recovered on 31 January 1876. Folio 12: George Gore, aged 16, Boy; disease or hurt, fracture of ulna. Put on sick list, 31 January 1876, at Calcutta. Discharged, 27 February 1876. Four days previously he had fallen down a ladder but did not report his injury at the time because he could use the arm for the light duties of a messenger and to eat.

Had been involved in an accident returning from a shooting expedition when the steamer he was in was run into and he was thrown overboard, becoming entangled with the paddle wheel for some seconds and unconscious when pulled from the water. Folio 13: Richard Hammond, aged 31, Leading Seaman; disease or hurt, fracture of patella. Put on sick list, 9 February 1876, at Calcutta. Sent to Haslar Hospital, 12 May 1876, and subsequently invalided. Struck his right knee against the hatchway combing when coming up out of the sail room.
