Folio 53: John Berkby, aged 23, Private Marine, 13 Company; disease or hurt, rheumatism. Put on sick list, 1 April 1862, Medway Hulk. Sent to Bermuda Hospital, 3 April 1862.

Folio 57: William Green, aged 20, Private Marine, 59 Company; disease or hurt, fever remittent. Put on sick list, 3 April 1862, Bermuda. Sent to Port Island Hospital, 4 April 1862. Died, 3 May 1862. He had been convalescent and was overjoyed at the prospect of embarking for England on 3 May when he went to bed on 2 May. At 2am one of the nurses heard a noise and on investigating found he had died. His death is attributed to nervous exhaustion. Discharged, 22 April 1862. Folio 58: Charles Blake, aged 22, Private Marine, 53 Company; disease or hurt, fever and dysentery. Put on sick list, 6 April 1862, Medway Hulk. Sent to Port Island Hospital, 8 April 1862, embarked on HMS Donegal for England, 3 May 1862, and was discharged to duty, 18 May 1862. He passed his stools in his bed and in his trousers and did not seem to care, even when made to wash everything he dirtied. His friends had twice purchased his discharge from the service. Folio 60: Henry Bostock, aged 27, Private Marine, 52 Company; disease or hurt, diarrhoea. Put on sick list, 30 March 1862, Medway Hulk. Sent to Port Island Hospital, 14 April 1862, and was discharged to duty, 22 April 1862.
