J. Jeffery for Commissioner Henry Martin, Portsmouth, absent on leave. Receipt of letters and warrants that Abraham Clarke is appointed as Master of the Duke in the first Division of the Ordinary at Portsmouth, in place of Mr. Backhouse, that a Surveyor is needed to report on Mr. Blunt's timber, to appropriate the Firm for the reception and accommodation of the convicts until the Fortunee is ready, to allow leave to the Purser of the Phoenix and to inform the Clerk of the Cheque that bills are ordered for him. Today, the money for Plymouth was put on board the Orestes sloop and the Admiral Parker and Jane transports came into harbor
