Commissioner Henry Martin, Portsmouth. Mr. Gilbert, one of the Masters Attendant of this Yard, finds himself mentioned in a pamphlet published by Mr. Tracey, who was employed in an attempt to weigh the Royal George and asks me to lay before you his statement refuting the charge. Mr. Tracey has reported his case is to be laid before Parliament so he may obtain some compensation for the expenses incurred. Report of the case and commendation by the Commissioner of Mr. Gilbert's behavior
