Commissioner Henry Martin, Portsmouth. Is informed that the building or works carried on between Gosport Beach and Hospital Lake on the mudland, lately purchased under the grant of King Charles II, were examined by the Masters Attendant and is sending their report. In a former letter he observed that several parcels of the mudlands had been purchased and preparations were being made to enclose them. It has now become necessary for the safety of the harbor that this matter should be taken into consideration without delay.
