Description

Commissioner Henry Martin, Portsmouth. Receipt of warrants to continue the repairs of ships in the scheme, to make a fresh demand for the 2 rother pieces of 74-gun ships, to receive a pinnace for the Scorpion sloop from Deptford and to make out bills for colours in the name of Charles Edwards only, with the abatement mentioned. Philip Myers, Carpenter of the Berwick, and Thomas Simms, Gunner of the Phoenix, have been allowed leave. Yesterday, the company of the Ardent were paid and today, the Hebe sailed from St Helens. Is sending Mr. Greetham's report of the prosecution of John Glasspole for stealing a pig of iron ballast. The globes belonging to the Academy, which were given to Mr. Adams for repair, are needed and ask for them to be hastened. Has given the Clerk of the Ropeyard, leave. The Ardent's muster books were sent by tonight's machine
