Description

Philip Stephens. John Peter Alix and Company, Merchants of Liverpool, have asked for payment for convoying 200 troops from New York to Halifax in September 1778. We only have the affidavit of the Master as to what bargain was agreed but opine the owners of the ship ought to have compensation from the Government for carrying ships to Halifax.
