William Marsden. Admiral Lord Keith has written on the subject of imprests outstanding against him. The bills relate to expenditure incurred by several persons, while he was Commander-in-Chief at the Cape in the East Indies and the Mediterranean. Most of the total amount can be settled without difficulty but there are matters involving Mr. Jackson, his Secretary, from June 1795 to January 1797. Mr. Brown his Secretary in the Mediterranean, purchased a sloop in November 1802 about which Sir Evan Nepean wrote and the matter is still under discussion.
