William Marsden. Matthew Walker has asked to be paid for the time he acted as Gunner of the Perseus. The records show he was entered in the books by order of the Earl St. Vincent in November 1798 as acting Gunner. He was discharged in March 1797. As there was a regular vacancy for a Gunner on the ship, recommend he is paid as such, providing he passes his account for the time he served on approval.
