Description

William Marsden. Captain Langford, Commander of the Lark sloop, asks for the crew to be paid before she is due for pay as the ship is about to go on foreign service. As the ship is likely to be abroad for a long time, the crew should be paid as requested but point out that the relevant Acts of Parliament prevent this happening and there are no precedents for doing so. Ask for a quick reply.
