Description

William Marsden. Captain Brown of the Squirrel has asked for 2 18-pounder carronades on the quarter deck to be exchanged for 9-pounder guns. The age of the ship needs to be taken into consideration as the much greater weight of the 9-pounders will damage her. Do not recommend the exchange.
