Description

William Marsden. Mr. Rhode, Purser of the Abergavenny, asks for his allowance for tobacco issued on the ship between May 1795 and October 1798, to be increased. He has never received instructions respecting the order of November 1793, setting the price of tobacco at 1s. per pound. He has been buying tobacco at his own expense at over this price, which means he has been out of pocket for 7 years. Recommend he is re-imbursed.
