Description

William Marsden. Have asked the builder and Mr. Roberts of Woolwich Yard and Commissioner Hamilton of the Transport Board to prepare a report on the pump fitted to the Illustrious. They want a comparison made between the pump on the Illustrious and any other engine pump, particularly that of Mr. Harriott, with costs and a recommendation whether the Hadley engine should be replaced.
