William Marsden. Mr. O'Reilly, formerly Midshipman on the Circe, claims the pay he says is due to him. In June 1800 Major General Don was to be repaid the money he disbursed at Lisle for the discharge of debts left behind by 8 British Naval Officers, prisoners of war, one of them Mr. O'Reilly, which was to be reclaimed from them. O'Reilly has paid back some of his debts from pay on the Circe and on the Renown, when he entered Plymouth hospital. He has not returned to the ship and ask for further instructions.
