Copy of the deposition [the enclosure to HO 42/23/168] made by George Brown, soldier in Captain Boardman's troop of the 2nd (Royal North British) Dragoons, sworn before the Reverend John Griffith, Lancashire magistrate, that [Matthew Faulkner alias Falkner] had given him the first and second parts of [Paine's] Rights of Man gratis at the stationer's shop of Faulkner and Birch in Market Place, Manchester.
