Description

Philip Stephens. We are informed that after considering our letter of March on the increase of the amount of tradesmen's bills for works done at the Admiralty office, directions were given for tradesmen to make out their bills in future and bring them to be examined and certified every three months. It does not appear they ever complied with these directions, their accounts having been always forwarded to us a long time after expiration of the years, when the charges contained, were incurred.
