Description

Philip Stephens. Mr. Knox, Secretary to Lord George Germain, asked for orders for the safe conveyance from the River to Portsmouth of the tents and camp equipage for 16 Regiments, which are ordered to go to North America by victuallers appointed to receive them at Portsmouth. Have appropriated the Lilly to carry the tents from the River to Portsmouth and as a party of 50 men will be in her, ask for directions to victual them for the passage to Spithead.
