Description

Philip Stephens. We are to propose a salary or allowance proper for John Hunter, appointed by Lord Viscount Howe to officiate for the time being, as Master Attendant on the Fleet employed in North America. Persons appointed to the Office of Master Attendant, have been allowed £200 per annum and Master of HM ships employed occasionally as such have been allowed 5s. a day in addition to their pay as Masters. Ask which of these allowances should be ordered for Mr. Hunter.
