Folios 391-392. Letter from W E Goodacre junior, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, referring to appropriation of proceeds of sale of property in the Pleasley parish requesting a reply to his letter of 27 August. Annotated: net produce of sale £93 33s 3d. Issue an order to appropriate the amount in part discharge of the proportion payable by the parish in respect of the cost of building the union workhouse. There is no probability of the enormous expenses attending the sale of the property being reduced by the expertise of any person. The Commissioners can only now issue their order of appropriation and ask for the security given to Mr Sadler.
