- Folio 390. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to the churchwardens and overseers of the parish of Sutton in Ashfield, Mansfield Poor Law Union, referring to a resolution passed at a meeting held in the parish consenting to the produce of the sale of property belonging to that parish being allocated to discharge the debt due to the Nottinghamshire Banking Company. Information should be provided as speedily as possible as to the securities of Mr Clarke, Mr Ashton and the Duke of Portland for the monies alleged to have been advanced by them towards the house of industry at Bulwell and what securities have been given to the Nottinghamshire Joint Stock Banking Company. Paper Number: 8185/B/1839, 8241/B/1839 and 8629/B/1839. Poor Law Union Number 337. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
