- Folio 192. Letter from Daniel Davidson, Master of the Workhouse, Southampton, to Poor Law Board, acknowledging receipt of letter 5578/1849, and in reply stating that he was appointed in the middle of the quarter ending Michaelmas last and that the books then in use were of an old form. Shortly afterward he received the new books and has been keeping all the books mentioned in their letter for the last half year. He hopes the district auditor will in his next report be able to make a more favourable report. Paper Number: 9343/1849. Poor Law Union Number 407. Counties: Hampshire.
