Folio 189. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board, to Daniel Davidson, Master of the Workhouse, Southampton under the subject of 'Books of Officers' saying they have received from the district auditor a statement made pursuant to article 43 of the general order of accounts in reference to the books of the several unions in his district. The Board observe from this statement that the following are imperfectly kept by him: Inventory, Admission and Discharge Book, Indoor Relief List, and the Clothing Register book. The following are not kept at all: Abstract of Indoor Relief List, Day Book, Daily and the Weekly Provisions Consumption Accounts, Provisions Receipt and Consumption Account, Quarterly Summary of Provisions received and consumed, Quarterly Balance of Provisions Account, Clothing Materials Receipt and Conversion Book, the Clothing Receipt and Expenditure Book. They request his explanations for omitting to comply with the provisions of the General Order. Paper Number: 5778/1849. Poor Law Union Number 407. Counties: Hampshire.
