Folios 367-368. Letter from J Rees-Mogg [John Rees-Mogg] and W Rees-Mogg [William Rees-Mogg], Clerks to the Guardians of Clutton Poor Law Union, Temple Cloud, Bristol, to the Poor Law Board, asking authorisation for their expenditure of up to £1 10 per person to assist the emigration of a family, details enclosed, from the parish of Compton Martin. Enclosed: a copy of the guardians' resolution for the expenditure to assist to emigrate Richard Lovell, labourer, his wife Mary, and children Alfred, James, Mercy and Matthew. It is endorsed by Richard Baker [the Reverend Richard Baker], guardian of the parish. Paper Number: 6898/1852. Poor Law Union Number 374. Counties: Somerset.
