- Folios 229-230. Letter from J Rees-Mogg [John Rees-Mogg] and W Rees-Mogg [William Rees-Mogg], Clerks to the Guardians, Clutton Union, Temple Cloud, Bristol, to the Poor Law Board acknowledging receipt of theirs of 9 July but saying that what their earlier letter of 9 May had really asked was how the Union could legally pay a bill of £50 paid by, but inadvertently omitted from, the accounts of the late overseers of Hinton Blewett [Hinton Blewitt], the ratepayers being willing to have that amount deducted from the balance due. Annotated: the Board would readily agree to any way which could be found but cannot see how it can legally be done. Paper Number: 19565/1849. 23526/1849. Poor Law Union Number 374.
